The new US administration supports consumer privacy advocates way more than the current high-tech focus. Corporations can see the writing on the wall, there are over 100,000 LinkedIn privacy corporate job openings. A major new impetus to privacy legislation is that the next major high-tech product – consumer-backed digital currency and Facebook Diem – will have consumers giving up financial privacy as is now envisioned by high-tech companies.
