In March of 2020, I forecasted that live streamed music would continue to grow in market share and in-person, location-specific concerts would struggle to recover on a large scale. Enter new streaming platforms, technologies and services that will monetize music consumption, broaden the availability of live music and grow the fan base.

Gaming, social media and collaboration platforms are the new live entertainment venues.

My prediction for 2021 and beyond is that live streamed delivery will dominate entertainment events, continuous innovation will lead the experience, and monetization gaps will accelerate a shift in music consumption.
